Hillarys lives outdoors — Hillarys Boat Harbour, Whitfords Nodes, the beach at the end of the street. Pools here get used hard, especially through the summer school holidays when the backyard pool does daily duty between beach runs. High bather loads mean sunscreen in the water, and sunscreen means phosphates and cloudy water unless the chemistry is checked properly and often.
The suburb is also mid-transformation: original 1980s homes sit alongside brand-new knock-down rebuilds, which means everything from 40-year-old sand filters to app-controlled chlorinators and variable-speed pumps — sometimes in the same street. We service both ends comfortably. New gear gets set up and programmed properly; old gear gets an honest assessment of whether it has another season left in it.
