Pool gone green?
Don’t panic.
We’ve fixed worse. Most Perth green pools are back to swim-ready inside 14 days. From $450 + GST. No judgment, no upsell, no surprises — just a clear plan, fair pricing, and water you’ll dive into by the school holidays.
You’re in the right place.
Green pools happen. Sometimes it’s the heat, sometimes it’s a pump that quietly stopped, sometimes it’s a holiday that ran longer than the chlorine. Whatever got you here, we’ve seen it before.
Perth summers are brutal on pool chemistry. One hot week with low chlorine and a struggling pump can flip a pool from clear to algae soup. Standard. Fixable.
Cloudy, dark green, or full pea-soup — doesn’t matter. We grade severity, set a realistic timeline, and start treatment same week.
Classic Perth story. Two weeks away in February, pump tripped, came home to a swamp. We fix this every other week.
Almost never. Draining damages plaster, voids warranties, and costs more than the rescue. We’ll tell you straight if it’s the right call — it usually isn’t.
Before, after, sorted.
Three Perth backyards, three rescues, all back in the water. Same techs, same standard, no stock photos.
Mid-rescue, straight off the truck.
This is what stage three looks like — vacuuming dead algae off the floor of a Perth pool partway through a rescue. Not glamorous. Very satisfying.
Four shades of green.
Severity drives the timeline and the cost. Here’s the rough framework we use when we look at a pool. Don’t worry about diagnosing it yourself — we’ll do that on the first visit.
Tinge
Slightly green tint. Water still clear. Caught early. A shock and a balance and you’re back to clear.
2–3 days
Cloudy
Visibly green, water is hazy, can still see the bottom. Algae is established but the pool isn’t lost.
5–7 days
Pea-soup
Can’t see the bottom. Strong green colour. Surface might be cloudy or have visible debris. Most common rescue.
7–14 days
Swamp
Black-green, debris, possible biofilm on surfaces. Rare but doable. We’ve turned around worse than this.
14–28 days
Fair, transparent, no surprises.
A green pool rescue is a treatment, not a single visit — we come back two to four times depending on severity, all in for one fixed quote.
What’s in the rescue.
Pricing is tailored to your pool and severity. Most jobs land in the $450–$900 + GST range. We quote in writing before any work starts.
- Initial assessment, water test & equipment check
- Treatment plan with realistic timeline
- Multiple follow-up visits until clear (2–4 typical)
- Filter clean, equipment monitoring throughout
- Plain-English handover when swim-ready
Chemicals are charged separately and depend on severity. We use what’s needed — no upselling.
Four steps. Fixed price.
From your first call to clear water and a written handover. No drama, no scope creep.
Assess
We come out, look at the pool, test the water, check the equipment. Quote in writing same day.
Treat
Initial shock, balance, filter clean. Equipment running 24/7. The first visit is the heaviest.
Monitor
2–4 follow-up visits to retest, top up, and monitor progress. We come back as often as needed.
Hand back
Pool clear, balanced, swim-ready. Plain-English summary of what happened and how to keep it that way.
Tell us about your pool.
Drop your details and how green it is — we’ll come back same business day with a price and a timeline. Or just call us — the owner answers.

Don’t let it happen again.
Most green pool customers move onto a service plan after the rescue — same techs, predictable monthly cost, no green pools next summer.
Service plans
Three tiers from $50 a month. Same techs, same standard, every visit. The simple way to never see green again.

Concrete in the pool?
Tradies dumped exposed aggregate or cement dust in your pool? Cement spikes pH and can turn a pool green fast. We clean it out properly. From $120 + GST/hr.
Clean-out details
Pump & equipment
Failed pump, clapped-out filter, dying chlorinator. Often the root cause. We diagnose, supply, and install.
